I want to change my yahoo messenger ID without changing my yahoo email address and without loosing my old friends who know my old Yahoo M ID?

Answer:
You can't change your YM id but u can create new aliases .For eg, if u want to contact someone as "manufanatic" then u can go to your account and create an alias named "manufanatic" without changing ur email address
