How do I change my Yahoo instant messenger name something else?
-
I have my last name in my Yahoo Instant Messenger name, and I don't know how to take it off. Help, please?
-
Answer:
Well, when using Yahoo! Messenger anybody can find out your Yahoo! User Name, and therefore your last name is unprotected. However, an extremely thin layer of protection could be offered if you go to your own contact details and under nickname, put your first name. Then, when you are messaging, your messages shall show up after your nickname and not your user name. Perhaps you should get a new account or well, Yahoo! offers one free account to be used in conjunction with your account, I believe it's under Yahoo! - Mail - Accounts. Perhaps you could use that. One more thing, you could get a new profile and message using that profile. Only your profile name will show up.
