Can people see your name on yahoo?

In my Yahoo IM window,people who get IMs from me,see a diff. name than I see!They see my last name 2!fixit?

  • In my Yahoo Messenger window, my display name should be debodo3301. That is what I see! But people receiving an IM from me, see debodo3301 and MY LAST NAME! Somehow it got changed! I want to know how I can get it changed back? Especially, since I see the Right Display, and they see the WRONG ONE! I don't want to broadcast my last name!

       From your main Messenger window click "Messenger" then "My Contact Details". Erase your name and put something in the "Nickname" field. I don't think this will change the information other people already have but it will keep it from happening more than it already has.    Also, pay attention to the windows that you have to go through when you try to add someone to your Friend List. One of them shows you EXACTLY what information you are sending your contact, and there's a big "Change" button right next to it which lets you edit it.

Go to your profile and edit your contact information. Replace your real name with your screen name.

When you add somebody to your address book, you can put down what you want them to see you as. Jus delete the conact then add them again but put whatever name you want them to see. Hope this helps.
