Is it possible to use a webcam on Yahoo Messenger for Mac?

My webcam and instant messeger?? Yahoo, Aim... Problem!?

  • I have this webcam from Logitech and I installed a free software called Macam that allows USB webcams to work with Mac. Only thing is when I go to use for instance Yahoo Messenger, the webcam feature wont work it doesn't recognise my webcam is plugged into the port. and i cant install the software disc because it's PC. The Macam software works I see myself I can take photos and record video, but I want my cam to interact with my messengers! "Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX"

    Ok, This is what needs to be done. First delete all of your Logtech drivers that you installed because there not compatible with Mac since they are Windows drivers and restart your pc(Make sure you do this). Then make sure your QuickTime is up to date, reinstall Macam and then Drag macam.component to /library/Quicktime If you have any further issues with this just post again, and if you fix it let us know also. :)
