How do I or you update my message history in my yahoo IM? used my message history and now get warning to updat

was able to view my contacts message history on my IM in the past then no more, am being told that my message history has not been updated yet, how do we restore my message history?

Answer:
1 go to my computer 2 c 3 program files 4 yahoo 5 messenger 6 open messenger folder 7 down near the bottom of this page you will see yahoo update click on that open it and update other update area is on yahoo messenger box under help says check for updates this usually take you to a newer version good luck
