Yahoo messenger cant send a message to one of my contacts?

on yahoo messenger (my email account) this person i dont know keeps messaging me i kind of was curious and wanted to find out who it was... but when i try to send them a chat message it wont let me. I click on "her" name and it wont allow to me to say anything just goes to a blank message screen. im not having this problem with other people on my contacts list... so is she like blocking me where she can send me stuff but i cant send her anything?
