Why cant i find instant messaging without that voice or webcam thing?

    this is a good question! although yeah, you dont have to use the features...which i myself choose not to , i have not found a setting yet that disables these two right from the get go. i hate voice... have you ever heard five people in a chat room trying to talk over each other . plus the quality is very equative to listening to the teacher on the "peanuts" cartoon . i guess your real question would be as would mine . how to start up yahoo messenger with these things disabled ? rather than having to disable manually . i feel for Ya . If i want to hear a voice ...... i would just use the phone .

I don't think they have it without voice or webcam. But just because it is there does not mean you have to use them.

The truth is that the new instant messaging that rule today come with those two things. Its like looking for a TV without a turn off button because all of them have a turn off button today, even the really old ones. All the instant messagin are updated with the voice and web cam thingys and unless you have already download the ancient ones, the new ones will all have it. I don't believe that you'll find that obsolete software anywhere anymore.
