How can i change my nick in chat room ?

how can i change my nick in yahoo chat room because in old messenger there was a option to change ur nick and in new messenger there is no option for change nick and if i change my nick in profile it will not change in chat rooms pls advice thnx rgds zohaib

Actually it has nothing to do with the version of Yahoo Messenger, it has to do with the new Yahoo Profile system. On the old profile system you could add a nickname and then it would show up in the chat room but the new profile system has no connection with the information shown on the chatters list in the chat room. Until recently you could access the old profile system and I have helped many people to do so and to create a chat room nickname but unfortunately it no longer works anymore. Yahoo has shut down the link.
