How do I remove the advertisement's from yahoo mail?

Why did Yahoo remove the "online presence Indicator" (smiley face) from Yahoo mail?

Karylle (carol) answered with " You can enable this option in your profile". Thank you Karylle for your answer. However, that doesn't help MY problem since it has been removed from the e-mail section. Here's a quote from Yahoo. Notice the "Online Presence Indicator" is only available in MESSENGER, CHAT & GAMES. (not MAIL) What does "online status" mean? When you are logged into Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat or Yahoo! Games, other Yahoo! users will see an emoticon () next to your name indicating that you are online. They can then contact you by sending an instant message. Check the above box if you don't want other people to know when you are online.

Sounds like your classic mail was upgraded. Many things were changed, removed and added. Look for these words " What's New" click there. Also click this link for more info and help. At the bottom last sentence click "here" http://new.mail.yahoo.com/classic Hope this helps
