How do I change my messenger name to an alias?

I have yahoo Messenger, when I log on, I want my name that others see to be different,instead of my sign in name, how do I do that

you can change it by : EDIT PUBLIC PROFILE name, this is how i changed mine, good luck

Add your own ID to your messenger ..Right click on it, click on contact details and edit your name or nickname. Cick save and close. Exit messenger. When you restart it should show your new name
