How can I retain my Yahoo setting?

I want to install my yahoo messenger with no proxy setting but m not able to do so?what should i do now?

• i have no yahoo messnger and when i install from inetrnet its ask for proxy setting even i dont need proxy setting?with no proxy setting how can i install that yahoo messnger even i install but it didnt work at all...not able to sign in even when i enter my name and password it ask for proxy setting.what to do plz tell me as soon as possible ..i have alot of important work on it.

  you have a lot of important work to do over the messenger? great! first, check your computer if it's not blocking to download the program (messenger) such as firewall or internet security or computer's setting (if the administrator is controlling the PC's usage). if both are OK, try to check on your control panel > add/remove programs if there is a word there "Yahoo Messenger" or Yahoo Email or whatever that is pertaining to yahoo. if you can see it, uninstall those. check your Program Files (folder) if there is no folder about yahoo messenger also, click delete if you see it too. in short, get rid of all the components of yahoo. run a full scan and then restart your PC. once done, on the homepage of yahoo, click "Messenger", the page will be displayed for you to download/save the program. i think this time it won't ask you for proxy setting. if problem persists, check your Ad On "Active X control" if it's enabled. if not, enabled it. once the messenger is successfully downloaded and installed, on the setting over the messenger, tick the box that says "No Proxies" and choose your connection if it's Broadband (ADSL/cable); THigh-speed (T1/LAN) or Dial Up.
