How do I delete new status messages that I have created?

How do I delete custom status messages?

  • I created 3 custom status messages and I don't want them on here anymore, how do I delete them?

  • Answer:

    The only way I know that works is to uninstall messenger then reinstall. Some time ago another poster said you could back space through it to delete it so you might try that first.

Go to start click on run now type regedit then ok.Now look for hkey current user.Then software Now look for yahoo.Then pager,then profiles.Now look for your screenname,and click on that.Now click on custom messages.Now you should be able to see your custom messages.Now delete the 3 keys for each custom message basically keep only the default key. that's it.Now when you reopen messenger your custom messages will be deleted.

You can not delete them, the old ones just fall off and the new ones replace them. Just go make new ones, put in any character eg. a symbol, a letter, a number, it dont matter. Just do it till the three you want off are replaced with the new ones you just put in. BE SAFE Cheri
