Why does Yahoo Messenger mess up my computer?

I have a problem with my Yahoo! messenger STATUS?

If I pick one of the default ones brought by Yahoo! it's OK, they all work. But if i try to specify another, in my status bar appears the one message from the default 5 ones I had before my change. I looked up in registry entryies, my message is there, like it's supposed to. but it would not like to show up next to my yahoo ID. Please help me with this! I don't have any virus on my computer, is as clean as tear drop(a romanian saying). I'm not using any software that could mess up with Yahoo!'s messenger scripts. i really don't know what to do and i need it very bad. Thank you in advance!

it seems problem with your yahoo messenger it self... i would suggest you to replace that one .. but first remove completely backup of old yahoo...!!
