Can I download my email from Yahoo?

Can I download more Yahoo sounds for alerts (i.e when I get an email or when someone goes online or offline)?

• I would like to know if I can download more sounds for email alerts and who's going online and offline? When I upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo Messenger, the sounds and alerts I had with the older versions disappeared and have been replaced with newer ones, which I'm not fond of. Can I get the old Yahoo Messenger sounds and alerts back?

  you can download the .wav files included in previous versions of yahoo messenger from.. http://www.wackyb.co.nz/option,com_remository/Itemid,3894/func,fileinfo/id,1/ instructions included with the .zip file but basically just unzip the file, copy and paste all the .wav files included or just the ones you want to revert back to e.g the buzz one, and drop them into C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Media and overwrite when prompted :) as you're running v8, something you might want to check out is a new plugin (from the yahoo gallery) Spoken Status/Status Alert http://gallery.yahoo.com/apps/513/locale/en gives you total control over the status alerts of your friends list. • Configure individual sounds not only for each friend but also for each action (Online/Offline/Status Change/New message). • Choose from a library of supplied sounds or select your own (Any sound type WAV/MP3/AVI/MPG/etc). • Have the status changes of your friends read aloud to you by Peedy (MS Agent Character), Peedy will let you know when your friends come online and leave as well as message status changes. • Last friends status change is shown in the main window along with their chosen image/avatar. • A log is also kept so you can see if a friend has been online that you missed.
