How do I set my cell up for SMS on yahoo messenger?

How can I set up Yahoo Messenger to send SMS to a cell phone in the Philippines?

  • I know the number to dial directly form my cell phone, but I don't know if I need to add or delete any other digits. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.

    To send a text message &also an sms on mobile/landline: Choose one of these three primary ways to start sending a text message: Click the "Contacts" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Send a Text Message." Right-click the contact from the Messenger List and select "Send a Text Message" (then skip to step 3). Click the text message icon in the address book (then skip to step 3). Enter a mobile phone number or choose from the pull-down menu of existing numbers. Make sure you have added the country code (for example, +91) if it is an International number. Type your message and click the "Send" button. Note: To use the right-click menu or Address Book icon, you must have a mobile number listed in the Contact Details for that person. click on send an sms message ... you can put it on the other contact and then put the number.usually the cell numbers here in the philippines consists of 11digit numbers that starts with 0 for example 09192356808. replace the 0 with +63 so it would look like these +639192356808. that's the way the number should look like.. just try sometimes yahoo do not accept some numbers even though its a number here in the philippines.
