Why are ID's suddenly showing on my messenger instead of real names?

How to delete the yahoo IDs stored automaticaly in my messenger sign in window ( messenger for mac 3.0 beta1)?

  • i used two yahoo id names to sign onto messenger before. one id name is quite cheesy. I don't want other people who occasionally use my laptop (mac book pro) to see that name. but every time when the messenger sign on window pops open, if i click the arrow next to the yahoo id blank, all the yahoo ids used to log on before show up... i don't want other people to see mine, and I don't want to see other friends' either. so... please help, what can i do about it?

    You can do this by removing the preferences in ~/Library/Preferences/com.yahoo.messenge… (* as in all the files that begin with that). There currently isn't a way to do this automatically so you'd have to do this every time you sign in.

i would go to start or all programs then go to delete files then delete all cookies just like if ur deleting the history
