How do i add friends to my yahoo account?

I add friends on my yahoo account how can i know which of them is online,when they make themselves invisible?

this is very important to me because sometime i need one of them while he is invisible

you can stalk on your contacts list on yahoo mail - LOL - the little smiley face lights up on your yahoo mail contacts list even if they are invisible on messenger

You cant change that function that is incorporated into the messenger software...if someone is invisable you will not know if she/he is on-line..I use that function when i want to talk to someone specificaly without being interupted....sorta like a privacy manager...otherwise when i am online i get bombarded with chat requests which not only can be annoying but overwhelming at times.....Happy Chatting....Mike
