How do i change the name that appears when i text someone through yahoo messenger?

I don't like how my yahoo username pops up in the text. Is there a way to change it?
Answer:

You can do dat by going to File>My Contact Details, there change your nickname. It will be automatically changed in all your friend's lists also & all will have you new name!!

Open messenger - on top tool bar > messenger > my account info - sign in - you can now create new ID and alias using the links on the right hand side > finish
