How do i hide my personal info in a yahoo IM chatroom?

i just joined yahoo IM..then disovered the chatrooms in it..but my persoanl info shows when i go in the chatroom..i duno why,cuz nobody elses duz.its the info i put in when i started that yahoo email..plus,i tried 2 change my IM 2 my current email..n it wont let me..also wont let me start IM under a diff user name..weird?..i also cant delete the info under my original yahoo profile..anyway,pleaz help me if u can..thanx Mel :)

Hi Mel its best to use an alias when in chatrooms, for obvious reasons - You can have multiple ID and alias - To create your new alias / ID Open Messenger - on top toolbar above your name > messenger > my account info > sign in - the link for alias and ID is on the right hand side create your alias / ID > finish When using the yahoo chat feature look for the dropbox on the top to select your alias after you hit "join a room"
