How can you read Yahoo messenger archive messages?

I have accessed somebody else's YM account, and have cganged the preference to save all of the messages even after going offline. However, I cannot read any of that person's achive messages since he's logging on a different computer and might have his preferences set to not to archive messages. IS there any way that I can activate or change his account preference so that I can the messages will be saved?
