How can you record web chat?

I wanted to know how safe is web chatting, i was chatting with a friend of mine and just showing off our ?

  • selves to each other we were half naked , he wantd to see me and i wantd to see him, im confused how safe is it, can some body else apart from him also see me or hack into my computer and record me or him , because there was someting very unusual, even though i was not in a chat room i was getting a lot of windows open with different users asking me so how is it going do u want to see my web cam , view my profile on the link etc etc, so i was a little confused if they also could see us even though the number of viewers in the window was showing just 1 viewer to both of us in the web cam window, im really confused and scared, can u please tell me was this safe or some one could have recorded us.

    You can block who can see your web cam in the preferences. You must understand the the transmission is not encrypted and someone with a good hacking ability could probably intercept anything. It is probably very unlikely unless they knew exactly when to look. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪

in webcam chatting, there is a big tendency that you are watched not only by this person but by those people who did able to view you even without your permission. there are programs to be used for that. one stuff i can share with you is the "webcam grabber". there's still lot more but i have to refrain disclosing all as some readers might use those programs also to illegally view any users who are broadcasting their webcam. you can't exactly safe it is safe, the risk is always there esp if they record your movements and spread it on the net like the youtube videos...
