How do I get rid of Yahoo alerts?

How can i get back alerts and sounds in my new yahoo messenger?

  • i had yahoo 8.0 and everything was alright, but I formated my hard disk and i already download yahoo messenger 8.0 again, and the alerts and sounds are SO PRIMITIVES.... what did happen? how can i get it back again...? Yahoo, hurry to improve ur BETA...!! is taking too much time...

    The sounds with the new Yahoo! Messenger have changed a lot since the last version. You will not be able to get the Buzz sound back, you can always try to find another sound by changing settings: > Log in to Y! Messenger > Click on Messenger on the menu bar > Click on Preferences > Choose sounds from the left and you will be able to change them If you want to use the past Y!
