How can I edit my name in yahoo?

How can i remove or edit my last name from my yahoo messenger?

  • As you well all know that when using YM your name will appear at the left side of the messenger. Mine is in full name...so i just want to remove the last name from it.

if you are logged now on your messenger, click "My Contact Details", change your name or leave blanks to the spaces that you don't want to be shown from the people in your list. click "save" to change. log out and log in to activate the changes you made. or you may restart your PC. if your name is already appearing in your friend's list contacts, tell them to delete your ID/name and let them request you again to add your name in their list, and or let them change the name of ur ID by right clicking your name and same procedure "contact details" and change it the way you want them to show.
