How to set up Yahoo messenger calling system on Webcam?

• My Logitech Quickcam doesn't work when I call on Yahoo messenger. See, it's like this: When I first purchased it, it worked fine, I chat, I called and the webcam worked fine and our family communicated by using the webcam. Everything was working in good condition. But then, we stopped using for a while and I took it out. So now, I re-installed it and everything else is working, the usb quickcam is connected to yahoo messenger again and the Webcam is working, also connected to yahoo, but the thing is that when I do try to use the webcam we can't talk, we cannot hear each other because the call doesn't work,Yes, there is NO SOUND. Please explain on how I can fix this. Thanks. I hope I explained this well, I kind of had a hard time.

  Your sound ? - you dont say what your OS is but you can check this. Best to start any troubleshooting with a clean browser Download ccleaner freeware and run it through include "registry" from the left hand toolbar - do not worry about the amount of files you have to delete - its amazing the junk we pick up in a short time 1) Right click on the speaker icon down by the clock and have a look at all the programs it shows - look for volume that may be turned down or "mute" if you are using a mic in your webcam make sure its set to default. 2) Have a look in your device manager to see if a driver problem is shown > start > control panel > classic view > device manager - expand "sound video and game controller" file by hitting the + box to the left any driver problem would be highlighted by a yellow triangle with a (!) inside. while you are here you can update your driver by right clicking on the audio text and selecting "update driver" select the on line driver option and wait for result test open messenger > messenger > preferences > calling and audio - make sure your default mic and speakers are shown in the boxes ( the mic and speaker you want to use in messenger.) run through "call up assistant" > apply >ok
