Can you search for contacts by Yahoo name?

My yahoo messenger contacts show the screen name instead of the name? read details?

• My yahoo messenger contacts show the screen name instead of the name? example : bigstar32 instead of John Parker? it used to show the person's name. i right clicked on a person's screen name, and went to contact details, and put their name in the contact details, and pressed "save and close" but it said "The last Address Book operation did not succeed do to a server error. (Error Code: -40031) ?? what should i do? THANKS ALOT!!! :)

  on your menu bar click "messenger" you'll then want to go down to "preferences" and click on that in the new window, click on the "appearance" tab on the left (its towards the top) once you've done that, you'll want to go to the options towards the bottom of appearance under "for each contact on the messenger list, show their:" you'll want to choose "nickname or first and last name"
