How do i change the resolution on my internet explorer?

My default browser is flock but yahoo messenger uses internet explorer for some reason. How do i change that?

• I had internet explorer as my default, but it doesnt work so i changed my default to Flock. I use Flock and Firefox when i initiate internet on my own, yet when i use yahoo messenger to do anything, it automatically pulls up internet explorer every time which never works. I want to change my default browser for yahoo messenger just as i have already done for my computer but have had no success figuring out how to do this. Can anyone help?

  Sorry I've no answer - as I have similar problem! - my default browser is set as firefox but YM keeps opening IE which I don't want - grrr! If I suss it out OP I will come back and let you know! :-) EDIT: I've sussed it on mine ;) Are you on Vista? Is so do this: First check that your browser is chosen as your default browser within its own preferences (I assume this has been done) then - Go to Windows 'Start' then 'Default Programs' the go to 'Set program access and computer defaults' the click 'Custom' on the drop down you will see 'Choose a Default Browser' and all the browsers you have installed should be listed.... and ticked in the Enable access to this program (leave them all ticked). You will probably find the blue radio button on the left is ON as 'use my current Web browser' set this to the one you want (for me it was Firefox if you want flock click that) then click OK and hopefully it will then open up from YM - it did for me! (note if you go back to change it you will find the blue radio button is back on 'use my current web browser' but this doesnt mean it reverts to IE or whatever it should stay on the one you select before OK-ing) Hope this makes sense & helps! Apologies if a bit long winded Ive been a Mac user for the past 8 years and have only been on a PC for about 2 weeks lol
