How can I retrieve my IM messages from my mac computer?

I turned on computer and saw derrogatory messages from someone and without thinking, I just closed the Im. I have to retrieve the messages so I can send them to a interracialsingles customer complaints. I blocked the person from my profile and deleted him out of my IM address. HOw can I retrieve messages from 6-4-07. Please help.

you can't retrieve them unless you had your archive enabled go to your preference and make sure you have your archive enabled so it will not happen again, and then check your archive to see if the messages are there if you had them enabled
