How do you delete categories?

How I can arrange my yahoo massanger contact list again with categories? how can I delete contacts on the list

  • I am using the yahoo massanger for long time. I have not prepare the list as proper using the catogries. I need to re-arrange the list again and delete some ids for whom is not exists any more. I don't know what can I do?

    When you are deleting a contact here is the best way.Try this:First right click on their icon, scroll down to stealth settings and change them so that you appear permanently offline. Then click on messenger, top left on the messenger window , scroll down to preferences, click and scroll down to ignore list, click and in the next window add them to your ignore list and click o.k. Then go back right click on their icon and delete them. This way they are history

To delete ids from your yahoo messenger, all you need to do is highlight the id and right click and select delete, or better yet an easy way to delete an id is just by pressing the delete button on your keyboard:). Now to create categories on your yahoo messenger, right click on friends and select rename group, and you can do the same for the other categories; same exact way:D. Hope that helped.
