Why does my display image always disappear?

When I use BROWSE and add pic from my computer files to the display image selection group, the pics disappear?

• The photo files I add as a choice in the MY PICTURES box, for use under "Choose Picture" as a display image, disappear and I have to add them again. Then later, when I use the "Choose Picture" option again to switch the image in IM, they have disappeared yet again. How do I get these files to save and remain in the selection box for future use? Thanks a bunch for any help.

  This is what i do, i have several photo's of my own in my yahoo messenger that are still there to this day. step 1: bring up your yahoo messenger step 2: at the top you see tabs (messenger, contacts,etc...) click on messenger tab. step 3: go to My Display Image step 4: click on circle in front of Share My Picture, then click select step 5: then click on the Browse button, then look in what ever file you have the photo you want. step 6: click on photo and then open button, picture should show up in the square step 7: then click ok, and then ok again and it should save it in your display images group. I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but it really isn't. Hope it helps.
