How do I change a contact's phone number on my Yahoo messenger list?

My friend changed her phone number and I want to change the one I have on my messenger list to her new one... **I'm using Messenger for MAC

I wonder whether there are limitations for Mac users. There seems to always have been some limitation or other with Messenger and Mac (previously, many mac users reported that the other person on a call could not hear them at all. I experienced that too but that problem is now resolved). I am actually unable to add telephone-only contacts.
