How do u delete a yahoo messenger or keep it from popping up?

    Go to "Control Pannel" in the start menu, click "Add/Remove Programs," find Y! messenger and click "Uninstall" or "Remove" (something along those lines) If you just want to keep it from popping up at startup; go into the "Startup" folder in your start menu and remove it from there. and Go to "Preferences" in Y! Messenger and change the setting so it doesn't come up at startup.

If you want to delete Yahoo Messenger on Windows then click Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and find yahoo messenger and click uninstall. I recently uninstalled yahoo messenger as I didn't use it much but I know there is a way, I just can't tell you how.

To keep it from "popping up" do the following: From Preferences go to General and uncheck the top box that says "automatically start messenger." (messenger pulldown menu on top left of messenger>preferences>general)
