Why do all my messenger contacts show offline when they are online?

I cannot use messenger because it shows all of my contacts are offline when they are online.
Answer:

They have probably signed in as "Invisible". However, you can still message your Contacts even if they are showing as "Offline". Right click on the Contact's name you want to IM, and then click on "Instant Message". Type your mesage and then click on "Send". If your Contacts are online, they will get your message immediately. If they are offline they will get your message as soon as they sign into Yahoo Messenger.

Possibly because they choose to be in "Invisible" mode for Privacy and prefer Not to chat if they are busy doing business online. Good luck to You.

The reason is they have elected to not show when they are online. But then again, maybe they just don't want to talk with you!
