Where are the sounds in Yahoo Messenger 8.1?

I have no sounds on my yahoo messenger 8.1 but hav sounds everywhere else can someone tell me wat happened tha?

    To check your sound in Yahoo Messenger Open Yahoo Messenger Open a chat window Open "Volume Mixer "by right clicking the speaker icon in the System Tray and selecting the menu You now should be able see both windows open ( chat and Volume Mixer) Click on an audible ( below the 'Send' ) and see what happens in the Volume Mixer You should see the volume graph rise and fall in line with the audible on the Device speaker - You may have to ramp up the Yahoo Messenger volume or remove the mute it if it has a 'no entry sign' on the base (Click on the sign to toggle mute)
