• Will yahoo remove my user name from someone else's friend list? There is a person I do not wish to associate with anymore who for reasons I do not understand, will not remove me from their messenger friend list. I have their specific user name on ignore, as well as having 'no messages from anyone not on my friends list' checked. However, sometime I like to take this option off when I wander around in chat, or if I am expecting a message from someone new who is not on my friends list, from a forum I visit, etc.. So, this person can when I am online and if they so choose, they could sign up with another user name to message me with during the times I am accepting messages from people not on my friends list. So, I am assuming that it is technically possible, since the user names and lists are on the yahoo side of my computer. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, -W

  You can actually remove yourself from their list. Just search for a program called "Deny a Buddy". This will take your name of their list. But it will NOT prevent them from Pm'ing you. If they know your yahoo ID, they can simply type in your name. If you have them on ignore you should receive anything from them, but even if you do, ignore it and move on.
