How to add a Japanese contact to Yahoo IM?

I can't add a Japanese yahoo contact who is a member of Yahoo Japan to my Instant Messeger. For example a name with the extension @yahoo.co.jp. I have tried several different contact names, for example [email protected]. The spelling of the contact name and extension is correct. A friend of mine in Japan said that Yahoo Japan has set security protocols that block Yahoo USA contacts from being added. It seems there is some kind of incompatibility between Yahoo Japan and Yahoo USA. I believe Yahoo needs to analyze and correct this problem. I was able to add my Japanese Yahoo contacts to my msn Instant Messenger. So I should be able to add my Japanese contacts to my yahoo. Thank you. [email protected]

******* yes you can its easy......sorry but i went back and tried to contact my cousin shuo lu and it wouldnt let me but most other countries it will....i will investigate this and keep in touch with you if i find a way.....i am so sorry...
