How do I insert my photo in my messenger?

How can my display photo on Yahoo Messenger be visible to a friends list even if I am signed out?

  • I have seen this before with one of my friends, even if he is signed out, I see his display photo on my messenger friends list instead of the gray "no photo" display. How can I do that so that others see my display photo on their messenger even if I am signed out?

    EDIT - Okay, Because you don't have an icon here, I thought you just didn't know how to put one up. Okay, okay, okay.... I just cam back from using my Messenger and I'll be darned, you're right! The icons DO turn gray when people are offline, that's something I never took notice of before and I apologize for doubting your veracity. Now you have me wondering why one person's icon wouldn't be grayed out amongst everyone else who is? If it isn't because it's a paid account, I don't have any reason or explanation. I know that paid accounts get little quirks like that for their money, but can't say for sure this is the case here. A good place to look though, would be on Answers Blog, something you can access fro the top of this page in Discovery, I believe.
