You should be able to click on get new yahoo ID and it should let you change your name.

If you want to change what name appears to others when you are chatting with them, DO THIS,,,,,,Click on MESSENGER, then My Contact Details, and take out whatever you want and put in what you want to show up. Hit, Save and Close. People that have you on their contact list, can right click on your id and then click on Contact Details, and they can do the same. BE SAFE Cheri
