How to record webcam on yahoo messenger?

I can't get my webcam to work via Yahoo Messenger?

  • I have a logitech webcam that I used to run on my old pc with windows xp. I have just connected it to my new pc and had to update my drivers to get it to work via windows vista. The webcam is working as I can see myself on quickcam (where you can record videos) I just cannot get it to work via my Yahoo Messenger. My logitech menu says it is set to play via yahoo messenger but it is not working. I went to the help page and it told me to go to preferences in messenger and then into webcam which I did. I am them supposed to click camera source to rectify this problem but the camera source button is shaded (not highlighted) so it cannot be clicked. What am I doing wrong and how can I solve this problem?
