Is it okay to add random people to my contacts?

Do you like it when people add you to their contacts on YA?

  • I was just wondering what the majority thought. I know I can block contacts from adding, but some folks add me and I am like "Why?" I dont see where they have answered any of my questions, and I havent answered any of theirs. I just wanted to know why everyone really adds contacts, for the hell of it or for fun or to meet people...or what.

    They may have read some of your answers or just liked the look of your Icon. Or they could have read a really kool bio. How many leaves have ever been under the sun is probably how many different reasons that someone adds another.

I only added 3 contacts, one is very funny and often people don't get how he's making fun of celebrities, one pretty much shares my opinions (and I want to follow up on what he has to say) and one I added as a contact because YC Germany credits him with 200% Best Answers ( no, that's no joke, just look for him in my profile!). About my fans - most seem to have added me after I gave them a helpful answer, and I regard this as a compliment. Maybe they check my profile every once in a while to see whether they can find more helpful answers...?
