Send an offline message on a Mac version of MAC?

Hey I just got an I Mac, and I down loaded Messenger on it... Its a very different messenger the the one on Windows computers, were you can easily send offline messages. But with the Mac computer its much different... and i am just wondering how i can send an offline message, because when i try to click on some ones name, it give me the option to do nothing, or to send an e-mail..... so how can i send an offline message this is MSN messenger btw using the MAC version of messenger.

You have the privilege to download Yahoo! Messenger for Mac if you care to: http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac/ Here you are able to send Offline msgs to your contacts. to my knowledge you are not able to send an offline message with MSN for Mac. Best of Luck to You
