Why i cant change my display picture on Yahoo! Messenger ?

  • Hello! Why i can not change my picture from the display image. Even if i delete the picture, after restarting the messenger (or pc) it appears again. I re-installed the Yahoo! Messenger (and deleted the folder) but with no result. The option with "Share your display image" it's activated.

    You are not the only one, several people have reported the same problem. It is not affecting everybody but a good number. It most likely is a temporary glitch that showed up yesterday. The glitch is with the Yahoo Servers and affects some Yahoo ID's but not others.

Also have the same problem here with one Yahoo messenger account.However 4 other accounts on the same computer will allow changes of the display image with no problem. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. The account that is not allowing image changes has a much larger cache file than the others and has been in use much longer. I am out of ideas here !

The same thing is happening with mine. I keep wanting to change it, i go through all the steps and then it goes back to the other picture i had b4. I have tried deleting the old one but it doesn't delete. Every picture i have tried this happens 2. I have searched it on here and some ppl say the picture may be 2 big but that doesn't explain why the old one will not delete. Maybe there is a glitch in yahoo Messenger for some ppl we just seem to be the unlucky ones who got it.
