Help! How do I add some of my contacts to Yahoo Messenger?

I just reinstalled yahoo messenger but i can't add details to contacts.?

  • 1. since i reinstalled yahoo i lost all of my message archives. why? 2. all of my contacts show up as email addresses. i went into each one individually and tried to change the nick and add other information but when i push the save and close button nothing happens and nothings saves. Help! 3. A friend pm'd me from msn messenger and I didn't realize it was opened. I thought we were talking in yahoo messenger. I must have connected the two by mistake. How do i dis-connect the two messengers? 4. Is # 3 the reason i cannot save contact details in yahoo messenger? 5. All of the contact details, i.e. phone numbers, addresses, alternative emials...all the information is gone!!! Is there anyway to retrieve it?
