How do I change my Display Name on yahoo IM for mac?

  • I can't seem to find a way to change my Display Name for the IM client on Mac. It's probably right in front of my face.. Hah. xD

Click the "Messenger" menu and select "Preferences." The Yahoo! Messenger Preferences window will open. 2. Under Category on the left, click "Appearance." 3. Under "For each contact, show," select the option for "Nickname or First and Last name." 4. Click "Apply" and then click "OK." Now, your nickname display should be set and this is what your contacts will see when you send them an IM. Please keep in mind that your contacts will also display in this same way in your contact list. Now, Reboot your system for Proper changes to occur. Best of Luck to You
