How do I delete my OLD IM ID which IM automatically tries to sign me in as? Just want my current ID on IM!?

Yahoo IM keeps trying to sign me in with an old outdated ID which I don't have or use anymore, thus it always fails, and I have to close the box and manually sign-in with my newer current ID. How do I completely delete the old IM ID from Yahoo?
Answer:

Click on https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user. Sign into the page with the Yahoo! ID you wish to delete. Once deleted the Yahoo! ID will not be available for approximately 90 days and anything associated with the Yahoo! ID will be deleted as well.
