How do you create an auto reply on Yahoo messenger?

Yahoo Messenger Auto Start Problems? I don't want it to start.?

I know... Log in, go to Messenger > Preferences > General and uncheck the "Automatically start Yahoo! Messenger" tick box. I have done that several times. I uncheck the box, I click on OK and quit out. Restart my machine and BAM!!! Yahoo Messenger still starts up. I log back in, I check Messenger > Preferences > General and there is not tick mark on the "Automatically start Yahoo! Messenger" and still Yahoo! Messenger starts up. Anyone else having this issue or know what is going on? The check box is not making any difference. Please tell me how I can stop this from starting. Thanks in advance.
Answer:

Open MS Config. Start - run - msconfig [enter] go to the STARTUP tab and look for Yahoo Messanger. Uncheck the box and click OK. REboot to see changes.
