How do i get yahoo messenger on my computer?

How can I get my Yahoo Messenger account to NOT open automatically in the view of other users on my computer?

• Our computer is used by five people. I installed Yahoo Messenger and adjusted the settings to not save my ID and password, and to not open automatically, so that I could message in privacy. When I logged on to two other open (no password) user accounts MY Messenger window opened automatically, displaying everything in full view of those users. In both of them, I went through the whole process of adjusting the settings so a password would be needed. However, the remaining two user accounts are protected by passwords, and I will not be granted access to them to make any changes in the Messenger settings. I don't want, obviously, other people to be able to access my Messenger account. How can I adjust my messenger account preferences that apply to ALL the computer users, so they won't be able to get on my account? I would need to do it without logging on to their user accounts.

  in your messenger window click on messenger, preferences, general, then uncheck "when i start up my computer automatically start yahoo messenger". good luck
