Why does my computer show 1 contact as always permanently offline when I have not set it to? We talk daily.?

Yahoo msg comes up automatically on my computer...when I go to setting to check on 1 particular contact that we IM daily, it ALWAYS comes up "contact permanently offline to me" I did not set it this way...what causes it to change from "online to this contact" to "permanently offline"?

You don't set it..the other person does...sounds like they are signed in as invisible. They have to change it on their end and switch it to Available for everyone to see them online

You didn't... he(she) did ! Maybe she don't want to, maybe she want...who knows ? You can do that too: just put your mouse on a contact name in your list , and click on "you appear offline(on line) to this contact and you will see that it's possible to set appear permanently offline to someone(who don't like to talk that often)
