Yahoo Messenger email alerts not opening my email when I click the alert icon!!?

I am getting my email alerts, but when I click on the alert, it just goes away and doesn't open my email. I have to open my email account and sign in. Please help!

I had the same problem ..but some how it got fixed ..maybe a yahoo glitch
