How do I change my avatar to a personal photo?

How do I change my yahoo avatar photo?

  • I am having so much difficulty changing my yahoo avatar photo. I click on "Edit my preferences" and from there I will then click on "Update photo or avatar." Then a box will pop up that says "Select a photo" and that is exactly what I will do, but after clicking on the photo that I want to use it will still will not come up on the screen. Can someone please help with this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    1st one for a pic, second for an avatar. Click on view my profile. Double click on your picture or avatar where it says change your picture.Box opens with options to upload a picture. Upload the picture from your computer, select it and you are done. Go to edit my preferences at the top right of your home page. You will see a grey smiley marked get my avatar now. Click that and you can create your avatar on the page that opens.

First of all, you will need to unhide your Profile or else your picture will not show, as follows: Click on your Avatar to take you to your Answers Page. Click on "Edit my Preferences". Under the Privacy Section, TICK the box "Show link to my Profile page". Click on "Preview" at the bottom followed by "OK". When you have done this go back to your Answers page. Click on "Edit my Preferences". Click on "Update Photo or Avatar". A box will pop up with any current photos you have saved. If you already have some saved click on the photo you wish to use and then click on "Use Selected Photo". If you do not already have photos saved click on "Add Photo". Another box will pop up for you to select a photo from your hard drive. Your photos should be under the "Pictures" tab. You can select a photo by right clicking on one and then clicking on "Select". Enter the code in the box and then click on "Upload". You will then have the opportunity to crop your photo. Then click on "Use Selected Photo" to save the photo.
