Need help cleaning up 10 year olds account. How do you delete messenger from his account.?

  • Help. I am cleaning up my 13 and 10 year old accounts. I noted something odd in my 10 year old account Look at attachment. I am seeing that "sexualnhotnatalie" is on line. I also get a message that "sexualnhotnatalie" is not in your Contacts That is correct, it is not in Contacts I also get a drop box to start talking to sexualnhotnatalie. Every effort to delete from contact fails because it is not in Contacts. How do you delete something that is not there? I see all 8 of my 10 year olds contacts and it is not one of them. I am offered an opportunity to block and I click the box. All I get is the error message that you can't block someone in your contact or in your messenger. Why offer if it can not be done? I can't remove something from Contacts if it was never there and is not there I think I must delete from messenger. How do I do that? Please advise quick. I am trying to clean up my 10 year olds account this morning. I see absolutely no traffic, only visibility that this person is on line. I am new. I have had an Yahoo account for 2 days and my boys for a couple weeks. I will need to learn enough to be able to guide and protect them effectively.

    First---- you need to add the person to your Ignore List... Click ►Messenger on top left Click ►Preferences Click► Ignore List now, ♦add the person's ID to your Ignore List Also, check √ the box "Ignore anyone who is Not on my Messenger List" Click ►Apply Click ►OK. *The contacts you ignore will not be able to send messages to you and you will always appear offline to them. They won't know you've decided to ignore them. now, Reboot Yahoo! Messenger for proper changes to occur. ♦ALSO......... You have the Privilege/Option to block the person from sending you e-mails: For Yahoo! Mail ►Classic Click Options, then Click Mail Options, now click on Blocked Addresses and Enter the Address you care to Block....Click on "Add Block", now Click "Save" For Using ►New Yahoo! Mail Click Options, Click Mail Options, Click Spam. now Enter the person's address you want to block. Click on Add, now click "Save Changes" Best of Luck to You..Ð

there is a software like spamer or Robot that he add you atutomatic and its for propagandize ,, every time you delet them he add u again and again ,, you must delet and iGNORE the contact and report him as spam ,, good luck

Your 10 year old has no say about who contacts him if there's nothing enabled to do that. Rather than using the Ignore List, I would advise they not have a Messenger at all! Did you know that Yahoo feels like anyone under 13 should NOT be using the Yahoo SIte and that by allowing children at such an early age the ability to access almost anything they choose to is asking for trouble. Not to scold or tell you how to run your family, but in my household the kids were on Limited Accounts until they were 16 years old. I can't imagine a 8 and 10 year old being allowed to roam the internet without limitations! Wow! That's all I can say, WOW!!!!!!!
